Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVD) Testing
Bovine Viral Diarrhea Virus (BVDV or BVD) is one of the most costly health risks throughout all sectors of beef production. Persistently infected cattle can spread the virus throughout the herd. Losses occur through increased morbidity, reduced performance, reproductive losses and increased mortality. Ashland Veterinary Center is an affiliate of Central States Testing's BVD testing lab. Our veterinarians can accept ear notch samples and conduct individual tests in the clinic. For more information or to obtain a test kit, contact AVC.
